BOARD OF LIGHTHOUSE SPECIAL EDUCATION

During the 2008-2009 school year, Lighthouse becomes an official partner of the Haagsche Schoolvereeniging (HSV).

In September 2008 we started the operational cooperation and integration in the IVIO Instituut and as of 1 January 2009, the integration was a fact.

It has taken the Lighthouse Board several years to get to this point, and we are very proud and satisfied that it happened now. It means that Lighthouse Special Education has an official status within the mainstream international educational system of the HSV and that the Lighthouse staff is staff of the HSV.

In the coming period, the Lighthouse Board will continue to watch how the transfer proceeds. The president, Dorothy van Bakelen, has become a member of the HSV Board and will represent Lighthouse interests.

The parents of Lighthouse students are represented by the MR - Medezeggenschaps Raad (Parent Association) of the HSV.
