PARTNERSHIPS
HSV
- Haagsche Schoolvereeniging International
Department
During the 2008-2009 school year, Lighthouse became
an official partner of the HSV. Integration programmes
for Lighthouse students have already been executed
in cooperation with the HSV International Department
(Primary Education). Both schools are committed
to working towards inclusion for as many Lighthouse
pupils as possible.
IVIO
- Instituut Voor Individueel Onderwijs
(Institute for Individual Education)
Lighthouse is formally part of the IVIO - Instituut
Voor Individueel Onderwijs, a Dutch school for
Primary Special Education, which is governed by
the Board of the HSV.
Other International Schools
The Lighthouse Special Education cooperates with other international schools such as:
- the International School of The Hague - ISH
- the British
School in the Netherlands
- the American
School of the Hague
- the Elckerlyc
School International Department in Leiderdorp
In some instances the Lighthouse may offer advice and support to the mainstream international schools. When they are ready, children from Lighthouse integrate into mainstream education at with an assistant.

INTERNATIONAL DAY CARE
For very young children, Lighthouse cooperates
closely with playgroups (peuterspeelzalen) in
The Hague, in particular with 2Samen . This allows young Lighthouse children to follow
the Lighthouse Early Intervention
Programme in their playgroups together
with normally developing children.
In September 2006, Lighthouse started the international mainstream pre--school group Three
Little Ships ,
for normally developing
children and special needs children from 3 to
5 years.

OTHER DIAGNOSTIC OR CHILDCARE INSTITUTIONS
Sometimes Lighthouse students or their families
are referred to other special care institutions,
such as:
- De
Jutters
- MEE
- CCE
(Centrum voor Consultatie en Expertise)
- Centrum
Autisme
- Koninklijke Kentalis
In these cases Lighthouse cooperates with the
institutions in consultation with the parents.
