ENROLMENT
The Enrolment Procedure is organised in accordance
with the WEC - Wet op de Expertise Centra (Law
on Specialized Centers) and the Ministerial Zorgcommissie
(Commission of Care and Indication).
The number of students at Lighthouse Special
Education depends on the policy of the mainstream
international schools to accept children with
special needs. Our total number of students varies
between 20 and 25.
Students from 5 to 13 years
attend the school premises at Amalia van Solmsstraat
155 in The Hague.
Children from 2.5 to 5 years
are integrated into Three
Little Ships  ,
an officially certified and registered mainstream
pre-school group. Three Little Ships is also located
at Amalia van Solmsstraat 155.
Close cooperation with international
mainstream schools has been established,
and in some cases Lighthouse students are accepted
in those schools with special assistance from
Lighthouse.
The HSV
has the policy that brothers and sisters of Lighthouse
students get preference for admission in its international
mainstream primary department.
