12/03/2013: SCHOOL TRIP TO BLIJDORP ZOO
The whole school trip to Blijdorp Zoo Rotterdam on Tuesday March 12th was a big success! The outside temperature was extremely cold, but that could not damage the warm atmosphere in the group. The children and adults enjoyed the trip very much. It was not too crowded in the Zoo and there were several indoor opportunities to watch the animals and to warm up!. For lunch we had French fries and later on some chips. The children made our day great and shiny by behaving so very well!
We want to thank ARAMCO Overseas management for making it possible to finance this trip and the 7 Aramco staff members for their great help during the day!!!!!!
19/12/2012: XMAS CONCERT AT LIGHTHOUSE
05/12/2012: SINTERKLAAS VISITS KSS
Lighthouse students and Three Little Ships kids met Sinterklaas and his Zwarte Pieten on Wednesday 5th December when he payed a visit to KSS. They joined the children at KSS and sang the traditional songs to welcome him. Once inside they heard Sint read from his big red book- he knew a lot about what the children had been learning at school. A good time was had by all!
17/10/2012: LIVE MUSIC NOW
On 17th of October two musicians of Live Music Now visited our school to give a concert for the children. Everybody enjoyed the concert and we want to give a big THANKS to the musicians Jesse and Anna and to Jacqueline, who had organized the concert!
10/10/2012: AFRICAN DANCE WORKSHOPS
On the 10th of October we enjoyed a workshop “African Dance” in each class. Mr Harrison Okwach, a Kenyan dance trainer, started in the Preschool class with a warming up and an Animal Dance.
In class 2 he was conducting a Water Dance and in class 3 a Party Dance. All the children were enthusiastic and had great fun!
